[#] is an installation consisting of various materials. The title refers to the internal grid-like structure of a box that separates goods from one another for transport—as viewed from above. Light streams into the exhibition space through the skylights, just as the viewer’s gaze falls from above onto the low-lying objects—the constructed structures appear flattened, and a cardboard form is reduced to mere lines. Optical instruments magnify the empty space; glass plates allude to the surface of images; and photograms refer to the object on which they are placed.
